Consumer Electronics Injection Moulding

Companies introducing consumer and computer electronic goods and devices to various markets must focus on development speed and a well-designed, user-centric final product. Technology-enabled manufacturing processes will shorten design cycles, reduce production costs, and accommodate the increased number of SKUs and product customisation that today’s customers want.

Polycarbonate Injection Moulding

Why Stephens Plastic for development of consumer electronic components?

Quick Turnaround

With quick-turn plastic injection moulding, overmoulding, and insert moulding, you can quickly scale from prototyping to low-volume production and be first to market.

Practical Prototyping

Use 3D-printed or machined prototypes made from production materials to quickly iterate and refine early designs.

Customisation

Utilise low-volume manufacturing capabilities to provide consumers with more customisation options.

What materials work best for consumer electronics?

ABS. In industries such as consumer electronics, this dependable thermoplastic is commonly used. It has a wide range of applications, including electronics enclosures and portable devices, and is relatively inexpensive.

Elastomers. Choose from a variety of elastomeric materials for parts that need impact resistance or durability, which are available in both 3D printing and injection moulding. Components and items with ergonomic grips, keys, or handles may also be overmoulded.

Aluminium. His material can be machined to make housings, brackets, and other metal parts that require high strength while being light in weight.

Polycarbonate. This thermoplastic is solid and impact resistant, with low shrinkage and good dimensional stability. It’s a translucent plastic that comes in optically clear grades and is ideal for clear covers and housings.

Why use plastic injection moulding process for electronics?

We have years of experience in the production of electronic parts. Stephens Plastic offers a complete injection moulding operation, from design to delivery of high-quality tooling and plastic components. We have a variety of technologies to accommodate customers who want to make a few hundred to hundreds of thousands of pieces, with appropriate project management for each.
